Amana Takaful Cares is the Corporate Social Responsibility programme run by the company in view of being a good corporate citizen and also being responsible for its stakeholders. Having operated for 10 years in Sri Lanka, Amana Takaful saw it opportune to formalise its social responsibility activities across the years in the form of a planned programme.
What we do…
The focus of Amana Takaful Cares in mainly to do with Health Care, Education and Children. The following programmes are derived from this intention.
Enhancement of educational standards of children in rural areas
Guiding street children towards education
Development of health care in rural areas
Economic development among the less privileged
How does it operate?
Amana Takaful Cares is a participatory programme that bears the hallmarks of the Takaful concept. All stakeholders are welcome to participate in he programme via donations and otherwise in addition to the funding of Amana Takaful Cares.
The proceeds from donations are channelled to specific partner charities and organisations that are located near each of our branches for easy access monitoring and administration. A special feature of the programme is that monies collected from a particular geographic location/ branch being used for a project at the respective location.
How do you partner?
This is easy…All you have to do is contact us for advice or visit any of our branches. All our branches are equipped with donation envelopes that can be filled and dropped into the collection box at each location.
You can also write to us informing of certain programmes that will be reviewed and accepted based on merit and feasibility.
From fighting blindness to going green, social responsibility took a new dimension when the pioneer of Takaful insurance in Sri Lanka, Amana Takaful Insurance joined forces with youth dynamos of the Interact district 3220. The new partnership saw three ambitious projects taking wing with the focus on environment and children’s health.
